It is January, and The Shepherd Center is off to a BIG start.
Before this month is over, we anticipate welcoming 16 new boys into the program. We will take them off the streets, and into our home. We began working on an addition to the house when we were still in 2016, in order to accommodate these new family members.
But the construction is not yet finished.
On the 29th we plan to have a grand-opening while two board members are in the country. It’s important for this transition to happen before the new school year begins, in early February.
In order to make it happen, we started the year with about $6,000 (USD) worth of needs to finish the construction and equip the house (furniture, beddings, etc.).
A generous friend has offered to match any gift given by new financial supporters this month, up to $3,000! We are praising God for this extreme generosity!
