Thanks David!

Last July David came to visit The Shepherd Center for a couple of days.  He was on a small team that was visiting a few different ministries in Uganda.  We were blessed to be one of those few.

David quickly connected to the boys and the mission.

He couldn’t stay away.

So David decided to start 2017 by spending a couple of months here at TSC.

The boys enjoyed the extra adult attention and friendship.

Before he headed back home recently, we had to send him off with a typical Ugandan farewell.  We enjoyed a special meal, making sure we included David’s favorite Ugandan dishes.  Some of the boys helped cook for the occasion throughout the afternoon.  Everyone enjoyed a fun celebration, distracting everyone from the sadness of a friend saying see you later.

During his time at TSC, David was able to learn first-hand the importance and the blessing of being a sponsor to one of these boys.  He experienced the impact of his financial contributions to Solomon’s education and developed a close relationship with him.
