A few weeks ago The Shepherd Center was blessed to have a team of four people from Virginia come spend the day with us.
Everyone, the boys and staff alike, have been making comments about what a great time we had with them!
Ole, Terry Ann, Michelle, and Danita poured out God’s love on all of us throughout the day. Each team member shared an encouraging message with us. We sang songs and played games together. They led discussions on some serious topics that often get ignored. They were ready to split the boys up into two groups, according to age, for their activities and messages.
At the end of a great day with the boys, they took some time specifically to minister to the staff. They offered encouragement and advice in dealing with these young boys that are sometimes very challenging as they transition from life on the streets to life in a home.
It was clear that their experiences as social workers, EMTs, and ministers had prepared them to be so effective in their ministry to us.
It was unanimous: We were all very blessed by these new friends of ours!

Tthaks be yo God for the great work you are doing
