This week marks the start of the 3rd and final term of school for 2019. But during the last few days of the boys’ break, we put together a soccer tournament for The Shepherd Center.
We created teams that included boys of all ages on each team, in attempt to make them fair. Of course things ended up a little mixed up and we discovered too late in the game (literally) that the teams were not exactly even. But we continued on with the event anyway. (Our attempt at complete team photos turned out to be complicated too…so this is the best we could do.)
What we thought would be completed in one afternoon was rained out, and turned into a two-day event. I don’t think anyone was sad about that!
Everyone had a great time playing and cheering.
One game was so close that we had to break the tie with shoot-outs!
Several staff members got into the action as well!
The winning team surely enjoyed their victory.
